8 STUDENTS PER CLASS (SMALL CLASSES DESIGNED TO GIVE EACH STUDENT MORE TIME)

This class is for actors who want to stay on top of, or improve their auditioning skills, while simultaneously becoming a better actor. You will learn the art of cold-read, script analysis, self-tape skills, how to confidently make more dynamic choices as an actor, and so much more.
You are welcome to start anytime of the month as long as there's a spot open. You will be pro-rated for the rest of the month. These are first come first serve, so once they are full you will be put on a waiting list for the next opening. Current students have first option for the next month and their spot is saved unless they give it up.

FORMAT:
1st and 3rd week- NEW MATERIAL will be given and performed as cold-reads. 2 new scenes per month.
2nd and 4th week- Students present memorized scenes with focus on acting, script analysis, taking redirects, and personalized instruction geared towards each student's needs.
During new scenes you will learn the invaluable art of the COLD READ TECHNIQUE and how to use it when necessary.
These classes are purposefully small to ensure every student gets to work every week.
I thoughtfully find scenes that are specific to your unique casting possibilities, no cookie-cutter scripts here.
My classes are incredibly fun, however I'm a no-bullshit kind of teacher. You're not coming to me to be told how great you are, you're coming to learn. If I'm not teaching you how it works in the real world, then what's the point? You don't want to pay a teacher who isn't being honest, right? Right.
Each potential student will be pre-screened by me via Facetime or Zoom before being accepted into class. This ensures we are on the same page about what to expect. This also gives me a good sense of where you are in your growth and the kind of material I should be finding for you. I want you to come to your first class already feeling like you know me :)
Why study with me?
If there's one thing over anything else I know how to do and teach, it's auditioning. I spent over 9 straight years in the same audition class in Hollywood with Christinna Chauncey. Christinna originally studied under Larry Moss and was a working actor herself before becoming a casting associate and ultimately an acting coach. I attended other classes during the time I was with Christinna, but was always in her audition class even after I started working real acting jobs myself. Why? Because the art of auditioning is a "use it or lose it" skill.
I also spent 4 years as a reader for various casting directors and associates in Hollywood, where I learned what works, and why.
When I first moved to LA at the age of 29, I knew absolutely nothing about acting. As my training grew, my confidence grew, as my confidence grew, my set experience grew, and as my experience grew, my career grew. I have gone from knowing nothing when I started at age 29, to being straight offered a series regular by ABC when I was 41. So I'd say I know a great deal about this industry.
I not only have the real-world experience of giving my own auditions over 22 years, but the real-world experience of booking actual high-profile jobs from those auditions.
Whether it's learning to perform a great audition, a self-tape, in the room with casting, or even the dreaded ZOOM call. I will teach you how to confidently do it all.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you be the best actor you can be.
Thanks for stopping by,
Brad
